The Hôtel Edward 1er is a three star château hotel in the Dordogne, France. The owners and directors of the hotel are Arjan & Marije Capelle, a Dutch couple, who both graduated from the Hotelschool The Hague (1991 & 1999).
Hôtel Edward 1er is beautifully located on the edge of the village of Monpazier ; a classified mediaeval village with a little over 500 habitants.
Hôtel Edward 1er has 15 rooms and 2 suites. All rooms have bathrooms with bath, color TV, and are decorated in style with the château. The Suites offer Jacuzzi and/or Turkish steam bath. Hôtel Edward 1er is member of Châteaux et Hôtels the Collection, a chain of individually owned hotels offering charming and luxurious hospitality.
The F&B of Hôtel Edward 1er consists of breakfast, dinner and bar service.
Breakfast is served in the rooms, in the restaurant or at poolside. Dinner is served in the restaurant or on the pool terrace. The dinner consists of a daily changing chef’s menu with choice. Reservation is always required for the restaurant. Maximum number of covers: 28. The restaurant is also open for non-resident guests.
The team running Hôtel Edward 1er consists of around 8 employees. Next to the management-tasks of the hotel, the owners take active roles in all the practical jobs. The team consists furthermore of local staff, especially for housekeeping and stewarding. But also these are required to execute other jobs: for example setting tables, etc.

Restaurant and all round F&B internship at a Chateau hotel in the Dordogne, France.
Arjan & Marije know from own experience how traineeships can be a joy and success (or not!). They want to offer in their turn an opportunity to enjoy learning and practicing the hotel skills. Arjan monitored over 30 trainees in the last 25 years and has the experience to make the most of a traineeship. The basis is not what the trainee already knows, but what he or she wants to learn. Eagerness to learn is therefore the key contributor to the success of the traineeship.Offer:

Exact responsibilities will depend on experience, motivation and especially language skills.
remuneration:
- allowance is 70 euros per week. 10 extra if you provide your own breakfast.
- own room with bath
- use of pool when there are no guests
- extended training from 2 great hospitality experts
- Lunch & Dinner with owners and /or rest of the team in the hotel or bistrot.
- Important reductions in low and shoulder season on hotel room rate for parents / family coming over to visit.
